EPB Gusseted Treat Pouch Tutorial

Wow, I've never had as many comments on a post as I've received in the past few days. The reason - apparently you'd like a tutorial to make the envelope punch board treat pouches I shared this week. I've remade my favourite version (thank goodness I had some paper left), taking pics all the way. The pouch is made from basic envelope punch board principles with a little twist, so I'm sure you'll have tons made in no time.
Here's are pics from the side & open so you can see the gusset.

The Tutorial
I used cardstock for the main tutorial pics, as it was a bit tricky to see the scores on the checked paper. Rather than adding all the pics here in the post & leaving formatting to Mr Google, I've created a downloadable PDF. Just one request, If you wish to share projects made with my tute, please direct people back to this post to download or pin the tutorial, rather than sharing it from your own site or editing it. Thanks :-)

Here are some screenshots of the tute pages to give you a peek. Clicking on these will take you to the pdf download too. Don't just save the pics as they're just low res images.

Thanks for visiting today. I hope you find this tutorial useful & enjoy making lots of little pouches. I'm going to have a play to make some bigger versions & will share them if I do. Don't forget to leave me some comment love if you liked the project...& pin away. Hope you have a happy Sunday.

My convention treat pouches

I can't believe it's already been a month since Sth Pacific SU Convention in Melbourne. I could go on all day about the four wonderful days of fabulous friends, fun, fantastic ideas & inspiration, but today I'd like to share a little convention project. Each year, I like to make a little something to share with friends - generally including some sort of chocolate treat. This year I made little gusseted treat pouches with my trusty envelope punch board (EPB).
The idea was a happy accident discovered while playing with little scored pouches & envelopes with the EPB. I had a thought to combine the two - luckily it worked!  Unfortunately my little brainstorm happened just before I left for Melbourne so most of the actual pouches were actually made in my room the night before convention started (explaining the very rustic pics taken on my dull balcony).

The pouches are really quick & easy to make with the EPB, but I don't have time to share instructions today. Just leave me a comment if you'd like me to put together a tute & if I get enough requests, I'll make one for you all :-)... it's now done. See bottom of post :-)
Anyway, here's a closer look at my original design.
This one used Retro Fresh DSP for the pouch with Flower Shop & Perfect Pennants stamps to decorate. Here it is open...
& from the side so you can see the gusset (click for a bigger pic).
The next 2 pouches were a popular variation on the original. These were quicker to make as I could punch both flag pieces using the hexagon punch (the original was cut by hand). Btw, I coloured the flower with my pink pirouette marker. Purty!

Sorry again for the not so great pics. Thanks very much for visiting & remember to leave a comment if you'd like me to share the instructions for the pouches.

Bye Bye Betsy

Each year, our retirement list brings lots of "nooooooooo, I love that one" thoughts & this year is no exception with Betsy's Blossoms on the list - she's so fresh, cute & flexible. To give Betsy a proper farewell, I'm sharing a few creations that somehow never made my blog.
Here's a little selection of Betsy mini cards from one of my classes.
And here are a last couple where I've punched the large flower circle stamp with the blossom & scallop circle punches.

So to refresh your memory before I go, here's Betsy in full. Available in clear mount for $39.95, or wood mount (at 25% off) for $37.46 while stocks last, or until 30 June.
& matching wheel - just $7.67
So there you go. I hope you enjoyed this little tribute to Betsy. If you don't own her already, don't wait! Until next time, thanks for visiting.
Inky wishes, Di
